The OCE 3rd Annual 5 Million Run
This year's run will fund the OCE Childcare program. Throughout Ethiopia, many single moms and their vulnerable children have no alternative but to work the streets for pocket change where they
face many dangers and degradation. In 2022, the OCE Childcare Program was launched to address this need.
In just a few months, this program has aided 9 deserving moms with basic necessities: food, clothes, diapers, and much needed childcare. These women are also placed in OCE’s Mentorship Program,
which pairs vulnerable teens and young moms with business owners to learn a trade and earn an honest living.
Join us on Saturday, June 4 (via Zoom or in-person) for a safe and fun way to raise money for OCE, get some exercise, and connect with new friends who also love OCE and the orphans of Ethiopia!

This year the 5K will be hosted in-person and online.
In-person runners: Meet at True Food Kitchen, 11901 Democracy Drive at the Reston Town Center for a casual group run with members of OCE. Check in is at 9:30 AM EST and race starts at 10:00 AM
Online Runners: You can register using the link below, and we will send you a zoom link prior to the race. Please sign-in to the Zoom at 10am, run or walk the 5k, and then re-join the Zoom call to let us know you’ve finished.
This is a fundraiser, so please give generously with a gift of $20, $50, $100 or $300 or more. Also, we welcome monthly recurring donors as
well.
